Near to city center, good location.

We had a problem with hot water. We complated many times, but someone did not fix it for a whole week. If anything happen you can just call to the renting agency...so we were disappointed.

The property was close to the city center (about a 10-minute walk) which made it very easy for us to move back and forth. There's also a bus stop a few meters away (like 30 seconds to 1 minute away from the property) so if we wanted to use the bus it was also very easy to do so. The property is nicely quiet and very pretty with a well-equipped kitchen and a beautiful quaint backyard which I imagine would be wonderful during the warmer months. They also had many games and books which was nice for the day we had extra time in the evening. We especially liked the dining area as it was quite cute and very aesthetic for those who like to take pictures :) Overall we loved it and will be booking again when we visit Canterbury again.

The heating system for the shower was a little complicated for us to use and we didn't quite figure it out as our stay was so short. We didn't have much time to ask about it either as we were quite busy during our stay. The staircase was also quite small but I think it's a European/British thing to have them this way :) May be good to know in case you're visiting with someone who has difficulty climbing stairs.

Would not stay again and would not book with BluFox!
The only positive - great location; quiet but very close to the centre. The place itself seemed to be well equipped, nicely decorated with pleasant additions like lots of books and board games.
However...
1. The shower produced only luckewarm/cold water, never resolved
2. There was no CO detector, although listed
3. Hive thermostat did not work, the heating could be regulated by valves on the radiotors though.
4. There was dust, stains on the sofas, cobwebs, hair on the blanket, and the dining table was sticky
5. No bed linen provided for the third blanket.
8 The property flooded on our 3d day, apparently problems with guttering.
Left after flooding and had to argue with BlueFOx about the refund, and to involve AirB&B.
After coffee machine was collected by one member of the team, another one was questioning me where the coffee machine is after check out!
Lots if impersonal auto messages from BlueFox, some not relevant.

It's a lovely space in a great location. The house has its vintage charm but it could also mean that some furniture and equipments wouldn't be as modern. Nevertheless, the bath is great. The big private outdoor space is a rare find on Airbnb. Unfortunately the router was not working when we checked in but the team did their best to fix it in 2 days. Communication with the management team was efficient. Do bring your own slippers/shampoo etc.

The biggest advantage of this lovely cottage is that it is a self-contained accomodation with a nice garden! It is also very well situated on a peaceful street near the center of Canterbury.
Self check-in was very handy and communication was very smooth.
The kitchen is well equipped as is the entire place. One note of caution - stairs are quite steep (for those travelling with kids who are not confident walkers). It was not an issue for us.
We very much enjoyed our WE stay here and would happily return.
Thank you, Blue Fox!

Barbara’s place was lovely and in a fantastic location to explore Canterbury. We stayed with two friends and made use of the sofa bed. All beds were comfy but the sofa bed was a bit “ worn” looking. The house itself was clean but could do with a bit of a refurb. We had a lovely time and felt Barbras place for excellent value.
Non of us could connect to the WiFi the wkend we stayed.
I loved Canterbury and would return to Barbras place in the future, there’s a lovely little garden which would be great to enjoy in the summer.

Nice charming cottage, ideally located 10 minutes away from Canterbury center. We felt at home and the kids were delighted to sleep on the same floor as us. Well spaced for four, we added a 3 years old that fitted nicely (kid bed available). I found all necessary equipment to cook including with the oven. Supermarket is 5 minutes away. The street in front allows parking but only 4 hours during week days, a parking is available 5 mins away at a rate of 1.8 cheaper one is available but 30 mins walk away (10 minutes by bus). Garden seems nice but with February weather we could not explore it. One little thing though is the noice of the ventilator in the 1st floor bathroom. I allowed myself to cut it (switch is on the wall at close to the ceiling).

This home was a perfect stay for us - the three of us had plenty of room; the kitchen was in fact well-stocked with necessary tools; the TV already had an HDMI cord; the location was very conveniently close to the bus station; and that shower was a wonderful luxury. We were even able to leave our bags for a few hours after check-out. Note to winter travelers: the kitchen floors were absolutely freezing, so you may want to bring slippers :)

Lovely little cottage like place, very clean and easy to figure out. Very close to the city centre, only a 10 min walk, and when the weather is nice, a lovely garden to relax in. Only slight issue was no parking and can be a struggle to find parking spaces, plus no vouchers were left for us. Make sure you remind the host. Otherwise had a lovely weekend, would go again and would recommend.

We had a lovely weekend in Canterbury, and this sweet little house is in a fairly easy location for reaching the key sights and shops in the centre of town. We came for the theatre and this property is about 20 minutes walk. We also enjoyed seeing the Cathedral. We got a free parking space right outside on the Friday evening and we didn't need to move the car until we went to Whitstable on our way home. Hungry on arrival, we found a number of restaurants within 10 minutes' walk. It is a very tiny house, and because of the weather we didn't get to make use of the garden, so we would have found another armchair or sofa useful, as there were four of us. This is a great place to sleep when you make the most of the opportunities around Canterbury, but not quite spacious or comfortable enough for relaxing indoors. Overall the facilities are excellent, but we felt the house let itself down a little with rather shabby decor. I wouldn't recommend the stairs to much older folk or small children, the banister doesn't go all the way up, and the treads are awkward, the landing is almost non-existent and access to the stairs is straight from one of the bedrooms. It's quaint, but not for anyone with mobility issues or small children you're not prepared to watch constantly. Not a criticism, but something future guests might want to take into account. I have always found it useful travelling with small children and with my elderly parents, when others give honest opinions. However we enjoyed our stay here and found the location its key asset. The beds were comfy and the house clean, and when you're sightseeing and theatre-going, that's all you need - all boxes ticked for us.

The host was very responsive and attentive. As promised, Barbara provided a travel cot for my infant daughter. There were fresh towels and coffee/tea waiting for us. The house is centrally located, easy 10 min walk to downtown Canterbury. The house did not have a half bath (only a toilet off the kitchen), which was the one reason we booked the house. Also, the carpets are old (some appeared as if they were not vacuumed). Finally, the carpeted stairs are very steep and difficult. I know steep stairs are expected in the general location. However, they did pose a concern for my elderly mother and myself when carrying my infant daughter up/down.

We’ve just had a truly brilliant and relaxing 3 night stay in lovely 22 Prospect Place over the hottest February weekend ever in Uk. Thanks to Barbara & team for responding promptly to our questions & queries about during our stay in the cottage. The bedrooms in the cottage are very comfortable and at top of steep boxed-in stairs next to the bathroom. The shower over bath has a good strong flow considering it’s not a power shower. The kitchen is well appointed (we like to cook) , and lounge and dining room cosy & comfortable. There are sunny spots in the garden throughout the day (our washing dried fast in the sun!) . Prospect Place is a tremendously convenient quiet location near to the city centre & food shopping, cafes, bars & restaurants, cinema & theatre. All easily walkable. Parking is like it is in most old cities so needs a bit of thought & organisation (Barbara was very helpful on this) . There’s some on-street parking (by permit) and other locations to park nearby.
We were staying to walk parts of the pilgrim route. It’s easy to walk it by sections by taking the train from Canterbury West (around 15 minutes walk from the cottage) to stations such as Hollingbourne , Charing, Chatham on the route and walking back towards the city . The Coal Shed next to Canterbury West is an excellent fresh food market where you can stock up for your walk/ for meal at home. We had such a great visit and enjoyed exploring Canterbury - for example On Sunday we treated ourselves to the delightfully easy walk from Chartham to Canterbury and the pleasure of attending the glorious sung evensong on Sunday at the cathedral. And on Tuesday once we’d booked out from the cottage we took a punt tour on the River Stour for a beautiful perspective of the city. We really hope to visit again soon - thanks again to Barbara & team.

I stayed in Barbara’s house for almost 30 days. It’s truly nice and convenient. Barbara’s house is 10 minutes walking distance from Canterbury East station. It’s quite convenient for those who are from London Victoria Station. A bus stop to the Canterbury bus station is just at the corner, and it is accessible to the nearby cities of Kent. And the city center is quite walkable. The kitchen is facing the backyard which makes the kitchen bright and it makes cooking more fun.

On y reviendrait volontiers !

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in Barbara's stunning place in Canterbury. The place was spotless on arrival and was exactly as we expected from the online description. It really is a very cosy house with everything we needed for a romantic weekend away. The property is just a short walk from Canterbury so it is very easy to wander into the City to see the sights. Barbara was a great host - always quick to respond and happy to accommodate our late check-out request. My friend and I stayed in Barbara's home for a weekend away in Canterbury. The house is a quick five to ten minute walk into town, and a very easy walk from Canterbury West station. The house is comfortable with all necessary creature comforts accounted for. The kitchen is impressively well stocked. The garden was very lovely, and I'll just have to come back for longer/in the summer/with kids to make full use of that lovely space. A great stay, would recommend!

This cottage is the perfect place to stay for a vacation in Canterbury. All amenities listed were there as stated. The cottage was exceptionally clean and extremely well furnished with comfortable sofa and beds.
The cottage is only about 7 minutes to the Canterbury East Railway station and the local bus stop just around the corner.
If visitors do not have a car I recommend the purchase of a one week Megarider bus pass. With this pass one can travel the complete area around Canterbury including Dover, Folkstone, Whitstable. Herne etc. The buses are clean, on time and the drivers are excellent and courteous. We had a great stay.

Barbara's place was wonderful. We were near enough to town to run errands but far enough away to feel quiet and secluded. The layout was charming and perfect for two people. This place feels right out of a travel book. It is quaint, quirky with little things here and there that make us American tourists smile. There is a door that you can close to block off the upstairs making it like a little hide away, but then you walk into the upstairs bath and you feel like you are in a modern home in an upscale neighborhood. This house really adds to the UK experience and its location is great for experiencing Canterbury. If we come back through, we will be trying to book here again.

The property was exactly as advertised, very clean and in an excellent location within Canterbury. Barbara was a very attentive and informative host both pre and post booking - we would definitely stay again!

We timed our walk to town, 6 mins 30 seconds, perfect location, house clean and comfortable. What else could you ask for!

We had an absolute amazing stay. Canterbury is a beautiful place and Barbara's beautiful cottage is near by, cosy and has all the necessities needed for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Barbara is a wonderful and attentive host. Highly recommended.

This cute little house was perfect for what we wanted. Bedrooms were beautiful and there was more than enough space for us. A lovely kitchen and great facilities. Less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre it made our weekend. We will be coming back here again.

Barbara was the perfect host for a perfect house. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was really comfortable, you're within 5 minutes walk of city centre, shops and public transport to the rest of Kent. Barbara is a fantastic host and really cares that you have a great stay in Canterbury. There is nothing bad to say about this property. Highly recommend.

This is a compact and cosy cottage for up to four people within walking distance of Canterbury centre. The hosts instructions for check-in were clear and comprehensive. Parking on the road outside the cottage is limited and subject to a residents voucher scheme after the first 4 hours. The owner will sell a voucher for £5 which is good value compared to the nearest car park (which is £1.60 an hour in daytime).
The stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are quite steep and narrow which is worth considering if any of your party have restricted mobility.
We would happily stay with Barbara again.

Nice quiet location 10min walk from downtown. Can easily accomodate 4 people. Bus station 100 meters away. If you have luggage taxi is a better option.I would definitely suggest this accommodation.
